ProHub AWD Chassis Dynamometers

Designed for testing high-performance street cars and some drag car applications, the ProHub AWD Chassis Dynamometers effectively bridge the gap between an engine dynamometer and a roller-based chassis dynamometer which rely heavily on the tyre-to-roller interface (traction). The ProHub AWD Chassis Dynamometers are available in 3200hp (1600Hp Front & Rear), 3600hp (1600hp Front - 2000hp Rear) or 4600hp (1600hp Front - 3000hp Rear) model configurations.

The Mainline DynoLog ProHub AWD Chassis Dynamometers are the ultimate AWD “In Chassis” Tuning solution for standard and high-performance 2WD & AWD vehicle applications.

These units are quick to setup, easy to move around your shop, and can be stored away when not required for use. The Power Absorptions Modules (PAMS) can be disconnected from the cabinet without hand tools.

 The Portable ProHub Dynamometer connects directly to the vehicle's axle hubs, via billet steel adaptors, effectively removing wheel and tyre related variables from the testing and tuning equation, for absolute accuracy, and the ultimate in test data repeatability from a power run to power run.

All ProHub AWD models can test FWD, RWD, or AWD/4WD vehicles. 

All ProHub models are maximum speed rated up to 3600 axle rpm or equivalent road speeds of up to 310 mph (500 kmph) subject to vehicle gearing. The “Power Absorption Modules” (PAMS) on the AWD models have integrated wheel assemblies allowing them to be easily moved to the vehicle, correctly aligned, and connected to the vehicle’s axle hubs. 

The Power Absorption Modules” (PAMS) are a " noncoaxial " type design. The modules sit flat on the floor, and you do not have to adjust the angle of the modules to match the camber of the vehicle. This means a much quicker setup when compared to most of our competitors who utilize a coaxial-type design.

It is not critical what angle the modules are attached to the car ( vertically or laterally). Our early ProHub Dynamometers product research identified in some scenarios, if the vehicle’s axle and the retarder/ absorber centre line are aligned (coaxial) there can be vehicle harmonics/vibrations that occur.

We use a twin CV joint system contained within the extension tubes of our modules,  and we offset the retarder position inside the modules slightly to ensure the connection to the vehicle can never be coaxial.

The ProHub AWD Chassis Dynamometer will accommodate up to +/- 10 °camber and 10 ° toe in /out, to accommodate live axle and IRS systems.

The front modules on all ProHub AWD models are all intentionally rated at 1600Hp, to effectively test lower powered 2WD vehicles and UTV / SxS's. 

Applications for the ProHub AWD Chassis Dynamometers include performance tuning, ignition timing perfection, pre-race testing, driveline torque testing, clutch evaluation, stall convertor mapping, multiple-stage nitrous injection testing, and performance product research and development. The ProHub AWD Chassis Dynamometer can be setup for FWD, RWD or AWD vehicle testing configurations as required.
